My Review:
When I was in school, there was much hype going on regarding Chetan Bhagat and I had to try his books.
I picked up his "Five Points Someone" and thought it was kind of okay but I didn't find it interesting. I thought it was just me as he was a bestselling author so I decided to give it another try. My friends were all gaga over this book and so because of the hype i picked it up.
Okay, it was a quick read with very very simple language. And the language makes you feel really very bored. I tried two of his novels and it really seemed like the author never intended to employ techniques in his writings to make it interesting. It again feels like a Bollywood movie script. Why a movie script? Too much melodramatic and unrealistic events. It is as if the author was putting way too much effort than needed by discussing many number of serious issues. It could have been a good book if it would have discussed one or two of these issues and not all of it. It talks about cricket, Gujarat earthquakes, riots and what not. All of these are serious topics but they somehow lost their importance in this book.
No structure, no characterization. Just rapidly moving themes.

One thing for sure, the author knows how to introduce characters and to start the book bit the ending part was so fast, it will leave you breathless.
I liked the movie adaptation better. What is good about Chetan Bhagat's writing is that, it can make good Bollywood movies with few alteration
Not the one for me at all.
